1980 kaufte ich mir mit mühsam zusammengesparten 149 DM mein erstes Keyboard überhaupt: Das damals ganz neu erschienene Casio VL-1. Ich war stolz auf dieses Teil und wurde in den nächsten Monaten nur zusammen mit diesem Teil gesehen. Seine einstimmigen Klänge sind wirklich einmalig. Und dann noch diese eingebauten Rhythmen...
Aber es war nur ein Taschenrechner mit etwas Musik drin.
Später verkaufte ich es dann. Nun habe ich ein unbenutztes und original eingeschweißte Exemplar mir neu gekauft.

I bought 1980 after painfully saving up 149 DM (about 88 $ now) my very first keyboard: the brand new Casio VL-1. Iwas so proud to have it. One could see me only together with it for months. Its monophonic sounds were unique. And there were these rhythms too...
After all it was only a pocket calculator.
I sold this later. But I bought a new one in an unopend sealed box.

Für jeden dieser Werte gibt es eine Ziffernstelle. Zum Ausprobieren oder Speichern muß man diese achtstellige (Wellenform, 5x ADSR-Werte, Vibrato, Tremolo) Zahl dann nur im Taschenrechner Modus eintippen und in den Speicher speichern.
For all of these values are a one digit. To test or store a sound, you have to store these eight digit number (wave shape, 5x ADSR values, vibrato, tremolo) in the pocket calculator mode.
